Nikola Mićić

Bio

I am Nikola Mićić, a Cloud Software Engineer with five years of experience at Cloudwalker, where I focus on designing, building, and improving cloud-native products on AWS.

My technical focus includes designing and implementing microservice-based and serverless architectures, building high-throughput and highly available systems, and continuously improving product scalability, performance, and cost efficiency using AWS services and cloud-native best practices. I hold 8 AWS certifications (SA Professional latest cert), which reflect my expertise in cloud architecture, development, and operational best practices.

I earned my Master’s degree from the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade, where my thesis focused on designing and implementing a Recommender System built entirely on AWS, combining data engineering, machine learning, and scalable infrastructure design.

At Cloudwalker, I serve as a Product Owner and Cloud Software Engineer, leading and contributing to the development and continuous improvement of two key products: the first is a Personalizer - Recommender Engine that provides hyper-personalized product and content recommendations using advanced data processing and machine learning techniques. The second is a CRM Customer Journey platform that enables large-scale customer engagement, campaign orchestration, and real-time communication workflows.

I also had the opportunity to speak at the AWS GenAI event in Belgrade, where I presented our products and shared real-world examples of how Generative AI helped us improve personalization, automation, and customer engagement.
