Alen Krmelj is a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps leader based in Slovenia. He currently works as the Cloud Infrastructure Team Lead at Bitstamp, one of the world’s longest-standing and most trusted cryptocurrency exchanges  recently acquired by Robinhood.

20+ years in IT — started his career as a sysadmin; Mainly worked in Advertising sector, and in last years transitioned to Finance and Crypto.

Roles include Head System Admin, Senior DevOps Engineer, and Cloud Infrastructure Team Lead across companies like Httpool, Celtra, Blocktrade, and Bitstamp by Robinhood.

Strong emphasis on high‑availability, low‑latency systems, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure Orchestration tools, Docker, and AWS .
